The pride of packed lunches. Top Deck was the name of the famous low alcohol shandy that we all loved as kids.

Summary

Perhaps best remembered for it’s shandy.

Top Deck came in three flavours: a yellow can indicated you were drinking the traditional lemonade shandy. The green can was lager and lime shandy whilst the orange can offered cider shandy.

The brand itself belonged to the Beecham group and benefited from a Royal Appointment no less and even had it’s own TV commercial.

Top Deck remained on our shop shelves throughout the 1960’s through the 1990’s.

Where Did They Go?

The brand along with other popular brands such as: Tango and the UK franchise for Pepsi and 7-up was sold to Britvic in 1986.

Top Deck was discontinued in 2012.
